with Ursel Harmon
September 15 - 17
Gentle Yoga is gaining popularity because it gives the body the stress reduction it needs to heal and be at ease. Holy Cow Yoga Center has always loved offering a gentler approach to Yoga along side our more vigorous classes. We are proud to host a weekend training on Gentle Yoga with Ursel Harmon, 500 RYT. Ursel will share an in-depth knowledge of how to work with this growing demographic.
Gentle Yoga is a healing practice that promotes physical and mental health. This training will focus on modified poses and slow movement guided by breath so Yoga becomes accessible to anyone who might have limited movement for various reasons.
This program is open to teachers and students, but the focus is a teacher training.
$175 Early Registration (through September 1
$200 Late Registration (after September 1)
Upon completion of this training, 200-hour Registered Yoga Teachers will receive a certificate to teach Gentle Yoga. Students must be present for all 12 hours to earn the certifcation. Advanced Studies students receive 12 hours toward their 500/1000 hour certification.
URSEL SARALA HARMON, E-RYT500 went to her first yoga class in 2002 in the search of stress relief and found just what she was looking for. She began teaching in 2004 after being registered with the Yoga Alliance through independent studies which include certifications in Sports Yoga, Yoga Fit, Gentle & Chair Yoga (from the Satchidananda Ashram in VA), Kids Yoga & Prenatal Yoga (from Holy Cow Yoga Center), Relax and Renew Trainer (Judith Lasater) and more. She believes in the calmer aspects of the asana practice and enjoys working with people who have limitations. Ursel truly believes that yoga is for EVERYBODY.
